A Viper's Promise

Dawn is on the run. The noble houses have been purged, and a usurper intends to force his way onto the throne. Dawn was never meant to near the crown, she's 14th in the line of succession. But now Dawn is the last living heir, and she's running for her life.

Playtime: about 50 minutes.

This is my first completed project. My goal was to make something that has a beginning, middle, and end. I'm happy with how this turned out, and look forward to making more. I hope you enjoy it!

Check out this video "didnt know vipers made promises" https://www.twitch.tv/d757gaming/v/2573091750?sr=a

That's awesome! I appreciate you taking the time to try it out

Was I supposed to lose the fight against the Abyssal Beast?

The Abyssal Beast isn't a planned loss, it's a tough but winnable fight

Great game but there seems be a secret I missed or am missing something about that old shed or the one gate I can't figure out.

It's really cool there's some postgame content here.

I really like Dawn's story I hope there will be more in the future.

Thanks for playing! The gate/fort on the overworld right before the pirate alcove was going to be a dungeon, but the game was getting too big so I cut it, now it just blocks the path to the rest of the map. As for the shed it's there for some extra items and to try and hint the player toward interacting with the well (and a little post game secret if you picked up a certain item!). Thanks again for playing, really glad you enjoyed it!!
